I don't know very much about photography but man, is this photograph amazing. Stunning composition and beautiful use of focus. Not only that, it really captures the imagination.

This piece, as well as being beautifully executed with stunning use of texture, has a fantastically dark sense of humour, which I absolutely love!

Talk about badass! Not only does this piece have an amazing compositional flow, but the gestural nature of the brush strokes make everything seem alive.

The artist has captured the flow of light over muscle and skin absolutely perfectly, and the result is sinuous perfection. I also LOVE the sketchy background, which draws attention to the smooth shading on the hands.

This artist produces works that are always exuberant with colour and life. Incredibly charming and beautifully tactile, I would totally stick this on my window!

This artist always manages to capture the life and character of a subject, often against backgrounds that promote reflection on their nature. Some of their works almost seem surreal!

This artist is insanely good at creating a sense of solidity in a drawing and the way they render cloth and skin is almost unbelievably awesome. I also love the contrasts between light and dark.

I absolutely love this artist's work - they combine sophisticated skill with traditional media with a beautiful and sometimes heartwrenching sense of story. Besides, look at that composition!

Sleeping Wolf by HanaKaeru

Aside from having a truly insane amount of detail, this picture leads the eye in all the right directions. The wolf is also beautifully drawn. This picture creates a charming atmosphere of peace and contentedness.

Hey all!

So, I graduate in December. And I'm kinda drowning in work at the moment. This means that I will have to put Miirdan and Wymarke on hiatus until I graduate, sorry! This is also why I haven't replied to comments or notes in a while - it's nothing personal, I promise. It's just end-of-degree stuff.

You will be seeing a lot of Fairytale stuff, as Fairytale is a story I'm developing for my final assignment. So, it's not that I've gotten bored with Invicta or anything, I will keep going - as soon as life gives me a little breathing space. Sorry!!

However, I will continue to update on Saturdays with Fairytale artwork.
